Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation to Present Updated Designs for the Sarasota Performing Arts Center
The Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation invites the community to an engaging workshop to preview updated designs for the highly anticipated Sarasota Performing Arts Center. The event will take place on February 11 at 3 p.m. at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, 801 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
As part of its commitment to an open and collaborative design process, the Foundation welcomes Sarasota residents to participate in this important milestone. Sweet Sparkman Architects, the local firm working alongside internationally renowned Renzo Piano Building Workshop, will present the updated design concepts and gather feedback from attendees.
“We are grateful and excited to have you on this journey with us as we continue shaping the future of the arts in Sarasota,” said Tania Castroverde Moskalenko, CEO of the Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation. “I envision a place where all of the communities that make up Sarasota County and the region can enjoy the new performing arts center – one that breaks down barriers to arts access and encourages all to participate.”
The design team will highlight key updates that include an overview of the facility business plan, integration into the park, patron access, and convenient parking solutions, ensuring a world-class venue that welcomes all visitors. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts about the project.
This event follows the initial design unveiling during a town hall event last fall, where the community first previewed conceptual plans for the state-of-the-art performing arts center. The updated designs reflect ongoing community input and the project’s evolution as it moves toward realization.
An ASL interpreter will be in attendance. For more information about the Sarasota Performing Arts Center and the upcoming workshop, visit www.PerformingArtsFoundation.org. For tickets: https://www.performingartsfoundation.org/community-town-halls.
