The Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation is a proud affiliate of Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts through Gulf Coast Florida Wolf Trap.

This unique approach embraces active learning for children through customized, hands-on professional development for early childhood educators. By bringing the arts into the classroom, we provide joyful, active learning experiences that can increase academic and emotional development.

The interactive 5 or 16 visit residences support educators in learning new strategies for integrating the performing arts into their classroom lessons, through interactive demonstrations with children ages 3-6.

Gulf Coast Florida Wolf Trap

How it works:

Gulf Coast Florida Teaching Artists are trained in research-based arts integration techniques by master teaching artists.

Gulf Coast Florida Teaching Artists partner with Early Learning Classroom Teachers to identify learning objectives, and the teaching artists creates a customized lesson plan.

Together, they integrate the arts for young learners to explore early literacy, pre-math skills, and/or emotional learning in the classroom.

The Early Learning Teacher continues the arts integration learning by brining newly developed skills into their daily teaching practices.
